Halloween here is getting bigger, but not as big a deal compared to how the Americans do it. There days you'd have to stock up on lollies just in case. We had a bunch of kids come a day early last year, I was not impressed since they couldn't even make the effort to dress up. The greedy bunch also grabbed a handful each leaving nothing for others for the next night. This year I might put a sign up which says "No lollies if you don't dress up".
The next door neighbour's kids were expected to come door knocking, and since they were robbed of their share by the bunch of older kids, I decided to make them something special.
